Fit India Moment- Fitness Week Celebration from 18/11/2019 To 22/11/2019

On the occasion of Sports Day on August 29 this year, the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, had launched the “Fit India Movement” that aimed to encourage the youngsters and students to include sports and physical activity in their daily routine. Taking the mission forward, CBSE has decided to devote six working days in all its schools as they aim to take students off screens and into the fields.

The Fitness Week will see the day begin with yoga exercises and various activities of fitness and nutrition, while day two will have free hand exercises and mental fitness activities like debates and lectures. Physical activities like dance, aerobics, gardening, martial arts have also been planned for the week, with students even being encouraged to take part in poem writing competitions on the theme of “Fit India School”.

Fitness Week will be beneficial for all of us by the different means; it reduces the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, dementia, depression, and many cancers. Fitness Day isn’t really just about one day; it’s about committing to change your routine for a life time of benefits. Fitness Day aims to highlight both the physical and mental benefits of an active lifestyle.

Fitness is a state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Physical fitness is generally achieved through proper nutrition, moderate-vigorous physical exercise, and sufficient rest.

It optimizes our mind-set to improve alertness, attention, and motivation; second, it prepares and encourages nerve cells to bind to one another, In short, not only does exercise help the brain get ready to learn but it actually makes retaining information easier.
