K. K. Wagh Universal School

K.K. Wagh Universal School, Saraswatinagar, organized an informative session on "Patents and Their Types" for Grade 8th to 10th Students on August 20th, 2024 .The session was conducted by Esteemed Guests Prof. Dr. Sunita Aniruddha Patil working in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department and Mr. Pankaj Beldar, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department, from K.K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research, Nashik.

The speakers explained , a patent is an exclusive right granted to an inventor for a novel, non-obvious, and useful invention, allowing them to exclude others from making, using, or selling the invention without permission. They discussed three types of patents:

1.⁠ ⁠Design Patent
2.⁠ ⁠Trademark
3.⁠ ⁠Copyright

The speakers provided valuable insights on how to select an idea, research it, and protect it with a patent. The session was highly fruitful for the students, offering them a comprehensive understanding of patents and their significance in shaping their future.
